Laura SpectorLaura Spector is a modern master. The rustic furnishings she divines from the meandering Oriental Bittersweet vines she forages from the woods near her Connecticut home further the 18th century romantic tradition of picturesque furniture inspired by the beauty and grace of nature. Light in spirit, rich in detail, each of her one-of-a-kind sustainable pieces is a tour de force that straddles the boundaries between art and design, nature and the decorative arts, and the rustic and the refined.

With an ecological backbone and a heart full of whimsy, Spector has won international acclaim as both an artist and furniture designer. In 2008 Interior Design Magazine named her one of the century's iconic furniture designers - the same year she was first invited to exhibit at the prestigious international Art Basel/ Miami.

Recipient of numerous design awards, Spector's work has been featured in The New York Times, Garden Design, Oprah, Vogue, Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Landscape Architecture, as well as several books on art and design.

Clients include the BelAir and "W" Hotels, Grounds for Sculpture, NY Botanical Gardens, The Garrison Club, Bergdorf Goodman, Ralph Lauren, Macy*s, Catherine Malandrino, Albert Hadley, Martha Stewart, Nate Berkus, Kelly Wearstler,Phil Donahue, Joan Baez, Sting.
